The Founders
Mike and Elizabeth met at youth group at their local church and became incredible friends, began dating, and married in 1996. In their pursuit to serve the Lord, they attended bible college together in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduation, they moved back to Southern California and began working in full-time ministry as youth pastors. During this time, they fell in love with serving people and dedicated their lives to the local church.
For over two decades, Mike + Elizabeth have served on staff at three incredible churches in Southern California + Colorado + Tennessee. Over those years, Mike served as a Youth Pastor + Lead Associate Pastor + Community Pastor. In these roles, he has birthed satellite campuses, discipleship programs and city outreaches. Elizabeth has worked closely with her husband in every capacity and together they have worked to create a church culture that fosters both community + spiritual growth. In 2018 they moved with their two boys, Kaige + Kaiden to Nashville, Tennessee to launch Freedom House Collective. Currently Mike serves as the Community Pastor at The Belonging Co. and Elizabeth works full-time on the Freedom House Project.
